Matthew Andrews
Born and raised in Visalia, California, Matthew Andrews is an experienced trial attorney who has spent his life living and working in the Central Valley.
While studying at the University of San Francisco School of Law, Matthew was trained in the Jesuit tradition to help others and promote justice. As part of that vision, Matthew worked as a teacher for Visalia Unified School District where he advocated for students with disabilities and their families to ensure that they received the services they were entitled to.
In 2018, Matthew entered the legal field and used the oral advocacy skills he learned as a teacher to litigate on behalf of people injured by corporate negligence and obtain conservatorships for families trying to protect the best interests of their children. After establishing his reputation as an attorney in Tulare County, Matthew was hired as a prosecutor for the Tulare County District Attorney’s Office in 2019. As a deputy district attorney for Tulare County, Matthew prosecuted hundreds of criminal cases including DUI, drug sales, domestic violence, and attempted murder, and was quickly promoted to a position on the Gang Taskforce.
In 2021, Matthew accepted a position at the Kings County District Attorney’s Office where he was a member of the Major Crimes Taskforce and prosecuted sex crimes, human trafficking, homicides, and death penalty cases.
Today, Matthew uses the experience and training he gained as a prosecutor to navigate the perils of the criminal system and seek justice for his clients.
